  I live in the Pa'auhau community, which is called the ''Land of Sunshine. '' It's a beautiful place, but has a history behind it. It was here that King Kamehameha the Great nearly lost a battle. The battle of Pa'auhau was told to be very gruesome with many deaths. There is a small horse pasture owned by a friend of mine above Ho'lauae Street (referred to as 'First Street') and a large cattle pasture above that. I live on First Street, and you can ask
    anyone who lives here as well that on many nights, there are strange noises that come from the pastures. The cattle seem to be spooked by something, you
can hear them stampeding around and making this god-awful sound that resembles a dying person or something. The two resident horses will often let out a shrill neigh, their hooves thundering on the dirt.

One night the noise was too much, and something made me walk outside onto the street to see what the horses were fussing about. My first guess was that a stray pig had wandered into the pasture, but as I stepped out into the street, I saw something.
