At late at night, I was driving around with friends. We were drinking beer and thought nothing about how dangerously fast we were driving. We were talking about the story about pele and the 2 drunk men near Makapu. Then out of no where an old lady appeared on the side walk. She was waving at us. Thank goodness we weren't really drunk and realized that this was pele! We were a bit happy because she was saving us from a car crash or something . But we were scared cuz what if she was going to put a curse on us for drinking and driving. So when we stopped the car so the old lady can get in, we dumped all the beer on the other side of the car. When she came in we were all smiling and being very polite to her. ''where are you going miss?'' My friend Kelli asked. ''Oh to Kaimuki. '' The old lady smiled. ''Near which building?'' Kelli asked, looking in the rear view mirror. ''Ah just drop me off at 16 ave. '' The old lady said. ''Oh ok. '' Kelli said. Kelli was timid and tried hard not to look at the rear view mirror. I was even more scared becuz I

was right next to her! I looked at her and asked, ''So where are you going at this hour?''. The old lady looked at me and said, ''Oh just going home''. I looked down at her leg, it was wrapped up. I thought this was a sign. ''What happened to you?'' I asked. ''I fell off a small cliff and kind of broke my ankle. It hurts when I walk too. Can you ladies

help me up my stairs so I won't fall?''. We all answered together ''Yes mamm. '' The old lady laughed. My other friend Gigi was looking at a map to find where 16 ave was. ''Oh I can't see anything! I need more light. '' She whined. ''here you go.'' The lady said. Her hand glowed red and I felt the hotness of her hand. This lady was pele. Gigi just stared at the hand. Then she looked down at the map. ''Thank you. '' gigi looked down and didn't say anything else. All of us didn't say anything until we reached 16 ave. WE helped the old lady out of the car and walked her to her house. Which was old and burned. When we al l got to our car, we looked at the lady at her door, she waved and disappeared. When we got to my house we were all scared. ''did you noticed that when we left her, she was wearing a tapa dress?'' gigi said. We were all scared and promised not to drink anymore.
