It's been said that this exact ghost is perhaps the struggling ghost of a local resident who used to have a house here in Lahaina. A lady devoid of a head can repeatedly be seen attempting to exclaim something mid stream in Amalu Stream. Whichever way, it's sure a menacing ghost that is better not disturbed. A man lacking a head may be observed frequently laundering a blood-covered cloth in Puuhewale on a dark night. An unbelievably menacing ghost has now and then been spotted gazing down into the water at Alaeloa Point before dawn. If you listen to what the residents say, this ghost is the undeceased soul of an old Lahaina person who lived here. The ghost of an old prospector with a large beard and a wooden left leg is sometimes seen suspended in the air like a balloon in Lahaina. Lots of residents claim this ghost is the ghost of a vacationer that was murdered while journeying through Lahaina some time ago.
