Me and my boyfriend moved into a house in early 2013. It's in one of the newer communities in Maili. From the moment we moved in, we would hear noises at the landing of the stairs (half way between 1st and 2nd floor) and up to the ''hallway'' area upstairs. In mid 2013 we got 2 cats, and they would stare at the landing on the stairs. Once in a while they both seemed to play with a third critter friend. More than a few times I thought I saw out of the corner of my eye a cat walking by me, but I looked directly at it, and it was nothing. So this was all upstairs - and we felt it was harmless, like it was just a curious kid.

Well, one day my boyfriend was out of town. I was having a drink, and the cats stared and meowed at their little friend on the stairs. It must've been the liquid courage that made me say ''come on down and play down here. '' Well for the next 45 minutes or so, both my cats stared at something that kept running from one side do the living room to the other. They would hide from it and get into the attack stance. I was so spooked! I finally yelled and cursed at it. I told it to stop and that it was making me mad, the whole shebang. The cats calmed down, and we haven't heard anything since then. It's been maybe 5 months. I had mentioned it was a newer community because we found it surprising that a new house would have this. We did find out that the previous renter picked up and left without saying a word, shutting down utilities or paying bills. We're curious to know why.

Comment by Libs: It might have been a wondering animal spirit. Animals used to be buried at the beach across from the 76 gas station.

Comment by anonymous: I'm reading all these stories of paranormal activity in Sea country which is a brand new development. The only thing I can think of is that the ground they developed on is on an old Hawaiian Heiau (burial), and now we have a poltergeist situation. Do some research on the land. I guarantee it'll point to ancient Hawaiians.
