I visited the Flavel House this weekend ($5 admission). A staff member who I asked about ghosts on the premises stated that they had ventured up the spire, a lookout you can only access by a narrow staircase that starts in the attic (visitors are not allowed in the attic due to fire codes).
The staff member said that Captain Flavel would spend his solitary ''getting away from it all'' alone time in the spire room, a tiny lookout visible from outside the house (its the tallest part of the roof-a steeple with a dome atop it that features a panoramic view of the Columbia and town.|
Anyways the staff member said that while they were up in the lookout they were pushed towards the descending staircase. They refuse to go back to that lookout.
