Boardman, Oregon Ghost Tales

Late fall 1997, I was driving outside Boardman (coming from Portland) on that long straight stretch of highway. It was around 9pm, totally dark. All of a sudden, my CD player went static... I noticed what I thought was a hitchhiker on the right hand side of the road. He was wearing what appeared to be a ''cowboy'' hat and a long, duster, ranching type coat. As I drove past, he turned his head, and his head was a translucent, white, shaped thing with black holes for the eyes and mouth. Upon seeing this, I couldn't breath and felt instantly like I was about to vomit. I slammed the door locks down and floored it into Boardman. I pulled off at the BP station and called my dad (in Kennewick, Wa) from a payphone, pretty much hysterical. He told me I was nuts and needed a cup of strong coffee. What do you think?
