Coquille, Oregon Ghost Tales I live in Coquille I've heard stories of the old Victorian house behind Safeway that an old woman hangs from a noose from the steeple @ night. I've also heard of blood running down the stairs, I don't know if these stories are true but I've heard them. I have had ghostly experiences in my old house on N. Hemlock every night I would have horrible experiences in my room like a dark figure shifting across the room, things throwing me off my bed, and disturbing noises. I guess some old mean lady dyed there before we moved in. I've also had an ghostly phenomenon in another old Victorian house in Coquille, I don't remember which one because I was 4, but I do remember a mist shaped like a person walk past me in the attic. Submitted by Tasha By daylight the people who live here in Coquille, Oregon do their work precisely       the same as anywhere other, but after dusk a person may well catch a glimpse of some menacing things. A lot of ghost sightings have been passed on by the people who live here. Several people who live here assert there are no ghosts, but with so many ghosts in Coquille you have a reasonably good chance of observing one if you stay overnight in this   town. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A woman with a somewhat transparent body is from time to time seen reading a book in Fortier Field before sunrise. Any which way, this ghost certainly is menacing; one that you shouldn't go searching for. The spirit of a security guard with a bullet hole in his forehead has been spotted on many instances at Johnson Log Storage and Sorting Dam very late at night taking in the panorama. One of the people who live here determinedly alleges that this spirit loves scaring foolish folks who are fearless enough to upset the tranquility in Coquille. In any event, this is a bad ghost that should be shunned. The spirit of an aged guy with a large gray mustache was distinguished in Brodie Gulch very late at night sobbing. Other folks in the vicinity have had comparable events with a very similar ghost. The spirit of a man wearing a soldier's outfit showed up beside the waterfront at George Reservoir howling. This spirit is fantastically active in this neighborhood; there have been a handful of other sightings of this individual spirit. Several folks argue this ghost enjoys frightening foolhardy people who come trying to find ghosts in Coquille.
