In the early 90's I was working as a security guard in the Greater Corvallis area. As a result I was in a lot of creepy, scary and dark buildings. Of all the places I checked, the one that made the hair stand up on my neck was the Corvallis Clinic near Good Sam hospital. The janitorial staff would tell me of papers being shuffled, radios being turned up or down and cold spots. I experienced the papers moving, sans A/C; someone moving ahead of me down a hallway and ducking around the corner, without anyone found in the area and the final event, was what I call the elevator incident. One night while checking the interior of the clinic I was walking through the lobby towards the bank of elevators, that's when I heard someone inside the elevators aggressively beating and banging on the metal walls. Since I was armed only with my trusty Mag-lite flashlight, I wisely decided not to immediately open the elevator doors. Instead, I went across the parking lot to the hospital to get back-up. security guards, I re-entered the clinic and reproached the elevator. All was quiet. I opened the doors and the elevator was empty. Upon closer examination I could see two sets of footprints running up the interior elevator door and onto the ceiling. The footprints were of a man and a woman and I can attest having scoured the area earlier, that

A woman who lives here says that this phantom may perhaps be a famous former time inhabitant of Corvallis. In any event, it without a doubt is a frightening ghost that you don't want to encounter at night.
