In Florence, OR., late one night my baby daughter began crying as she often did at night, I got up out of bed and went to her. Although it was summer, her room was freezing. I picked her up and sat down in the rocking chair there in her room to calm her. I closed my eyes and cuddled her but she still fussed and I had this overcomeing feeling of fear grip me from no where. I opened my eyes and there right in front of my face was the translucent, white face of an old woman. Her face was all squenched up in anger staring at me. I could see every wrinckle it seemed and it was only her face that was visable.

She seemed very angry, almost snarling and way too close for comfort. I closed my eyes and pulled my daughter into me and prayed. When I opened my eyes, she was gone but I was terrifid and took my daughter

into my bed. She slept with us every night after that until we move out a few months later. I never believed in ghosts until that night.
