Independence, Oregon Ghost Tales


By daylight you may perhaps imagine Independence, Oregon is just the same as any other town, but this town has creepy riddles obscured in the shadows. There have been many incidents with spirits from another realm. Skeptics don't believe in the local ghost tales, but seeing is believing and if you spend the night here in Independence, you may very well perceive a ghost.

One thing's for sure, this ghost undeniably is creepy; one that any reasonable person wouldn't wish to bump into.

The ghost of a train driver has repeatedly been perceived by Independence Bend reading a book. In any event, it's a bloodcurdling ghost that you shouldn't go trying to find.

female with no head is frequently seen gardening in the front garden of a home in Independence.

The phantom of a youthful female with a wire around her neck can regularly be distinguished gazing down into the water at Tyson Island at the stroke of midnight.

A tremendously frightening phantom can be made out often cleaning a bloody shirt in Cauthorn Spring on a dark night. Loads of residents say this ghost gets pleasure from startling foolish folks who have the nerve to upset the peace in Independence.

The ghost of an elderly prospector with a large beard and a hook instead of his left hand is from time to time witnessed soaring across American Bottom in the early morning hours before sunrise. Locals here who have observed this ghost allege this ghost likes scaring foolish folks who come looking for ghosts in Independence. Whatever folks state, it's without a doubt a chilling ghost that is better not interrupted.

The ghost of an aged woman clutching a rifle has allegedly been seen on many occasions in Doves Bar very late at night terrifying people.

The phantom of an elderly Indian chief may sometimes be distinguished repositioning orbs about at Earl Kennel Dam before sunrise. Any which way, this phantom certainly is frightening; one that you would not want to run into after midnight.

The ghost of an elderly cleaning lady was distinguished up on Cadle Hill yelling names of people. The appearance of the bystander startled the phantom who then vanished.

A black as coal crow that turned into a female showed up hauling a corpse across the ground in Eola Bend County Park before dawn. The spirit mentioned avenging a murder. In any event, it's a menacing ghost that you shouldn't go trying to locate.

The ghost of a destitute man emerged in a row boat on Boyle Lakes screaming at the observer to disappear. The witness freaked out and fled. Local people allege that this ghost may be a distinguished past local of Independence. Regardless of what, it certainly is a terrifying ghost that is better not upset.
