something running up the stairs with very heavy footsteps. The footsteps stopped right in front of our closed bedroom door.
Then the sounds started again downstairs. I woke up my husband and he went to check and found nothing out of place and all the doors and windows locked. Still soon as he got back into bed and fell back asleep the noises started up again.
I made him get up and we got out of the house that night. Other things happened

there as time went on. Puddled water with no way of it could have gotten to certain spots. Gusts of wind when the windows and doors were locked.

voices of people talking. I don't know the history of these places very well but I know that both areas are haunted.

In Sodaville just north east of Lebanon a ghostly figure haunts the roads. 3 times while driving home at night I've seen a person. Rather gray in color sprinting in front of my car. The first time I came to a screeching halt only to find that no one was there.
At first I thought fog mostly because I didn't like the idea of a ghost. But now am sure it isn't anything of this world. I couldn't tell the gender height or clothing type of these figures. But I can make out the upright figure legs moving and arms pumping moving at an incredible speed.
