Newport, Oregon Ghost Tales I lived in Toledo..one nite I was taking pictures in my living room with my family..the camera was held to high and took a picture behind us. Their was 3 figures in that photo. One of a lady in white. The other a child that looked like he was from the way olden days and a head figure that looked like it was trying to get out of the picture. Every one couldn't believe what we saw. We tried to make out lighting or some sort of excuse. But we couldn't. About a month later my phone which had the picture broke while I was sleeping. I woke up and the screen was blue. I took it to the store and the guy said water damage; I knew it wasn't possible. A local person declares that this spirit is that of a local who settled here in Newport some time ago. A man devoid of a head has regularly been witnessed up on Buford Hill devouring an apple. A number of of the folks who live in this town claim this ghost loves startling foolish people who have the nerve to upset the peace in Newport. An enormously creepy ghost is repeatedly observed around midnight drifting down Anderson Creek. It has been declared that this individual ghost likes scaring foolhardy people who come seeking ghosts in Newport. The ghost of an aged woman grasping a gun is known to have been observed on many instances smoking a cigar by Center Slough. The ghost of an elderly Indian chief may be distinguished time and again down by Kistler Spring before sunrise reading a book. If you talk to the locals, this ghost could be a renowned days gone by resident of Newport. A black cat that transformed into a woman has every so often been observed fishing from the water's edge of Bay Hills Reservoir on a dark night.
