Sweet Home, Oregon Ghost Tales I lived in Sweethome last year and I was driving home one night and I had seen a man walking down the street. I didn't think nothing of it until he had turned around and waved to me and he suddenly disappeared  as I passed him. It looked like he said something but I couldn't hear him. He was wearing a blue coat and walking with a cane. It looked real but it faded as I got closer. He looked pretty old, maybe like 65. I don't have any proof but I know what I saw. The living dead are all over this municipality as the folks who live here will inform you. Folks who have never spent a night in this municipality will say to you it's superstition, but with so many ghosts in Sweet Home you have a rather fine chance of witnessing one if you stay for a few days in this town. These are some       of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A drifting ghost was noticed looking for somebody by Ames Creek. Several accounts of this ghost have been described. The ghost of a young Indian combatant became visible cleaning a blood-splattered bed sheet in Noble Spring on a dark night. This ghost is extremely active   in this vicinity; there have been one or two other reports of this particular ghost. Anyway, this ghost undoubtedly is scary; one that you shouldn't go seeking. The phantom of a muscular lumberjack carrying a sizeable axe was noticed in Andrew Wiley Park on a dark night burying a body by a big boulder. The observer fled right after he witnessed the ghost. In any event, this is an unfriendly ghost that should be stayed away from. A creepy skeleton was witnessed trying to say something in Lower Pleasant Valley in the early morning hours before sunrise. When the bystander showed up the ghost escaped. A luminous human shape has often been made out at Foster Dam at the stroke of midnight taking pleasure in the panorama. The ghost of a young-looking guy sporting a leather jacket is repeatedly seen very late at night heading a conducted trip of Chimney Rock to a cluster of ghosts. A headless guy has been seen on a handful of instances scaring folks under a lamppost in Sweet Home. If you listen to the folks who live here, this ghost is the tormented spirit of a long forgotten Sweet Home local person.
