There were three large decorative bottles of colored water that sat in the window - orange green and blue. I picked up the green one and shook it and watched the sediment float to the bottom. I had my hair in a ponytail.
I felt someone come up behind me and I got this prickly sensation all over and these three things happened all at once in the same instant: something blew softly on my neck the bottle of green water slipped through my hands

and broke on the wood floor and my baby bro.
And sister started to sing this little song in the bathtub. I ran into the bathroom and to my horror

there are my little brother and sister making cutting motions at their little baby necks and singing a song ''cotchie cotch cotch...
Oo oo'' and tilting their heads side to side wiping imaginary tears from their eyes. The Spanish word for knife is ''cuchillo''. I swear on my life this is all true. And this is only one st ory of that terrible house.
