Blaine, Washington Ghost Tales When I was about 10-12 yrs old my family and I moved to Blaine from Grand Portage, Mn. We had befriended a family who lived in a big house on Harrison Avenue in Blaine. It was said by the family that a ghost they referred to as ''The White Lady'' roamed the house regularly. She would float down the hallways, sit on the beds, and open and close drawers. Being curious my sister and friends often stayed the night with their friend hoping to see ''The White Lady'' but she would not show herself. One unexpected afternoon after school, when no one else was home, my sister and her friend were getting ready in the bathroom to go to the usual teen meeting place called the ''Ice Cue'' which was downtown. Suddenly they both smelled a very heavy scent of perfume. Then almost at the same time a drawer to where the brushes, combs and barrettes were kept opened and closed!!! Needless to say my sister and her friend ran out of the house all the way to our house. My sister never again spent the night with her friend after that day. The ''White Lady'' who was       a bankers wife had committed suicide in the house many years before. There have been other residents in the house since then but none have reported seeing or hearing ''The White Lady''. . This town is covered in woods and the woods are dark and freaky at night, I have woods as my backyard. My friends and I have spotted many and they seem to follow us around. One example is when I was driving home from a friends and I could see a man walk out of the woods holding something under a sheet. My mom turned trying to avoid him and nearly hit him, he disappeared in front of our eyes. At first we thought it was an illusion so my friends and I drive there the next night and we saw it again. We still didn't think much about it so we forgot about it. About a week later, my cousins can for a visit and then left to go home. The next day, my aunt, her husband and one of my cousins recall seeing a man on the road, holding something under a sheet.. This freaked us out but we were very curious, so we went back to that place which was next to a cemetery and we found out that there was a man in there that died because he got ran over, holding his dying child under the sheet, looking for help. There have been over 200 sightings in this place and things happen daily including moving objects/furniture, orbs and ghastly sightings, ghosts and ectoplasms here. My friends and I are trying to figure out why and where we can find them, and how to put them to rest. .
