Not a ghost I don't think. I was visiting my in-laws and sleeping upstairs in the bedroom with the top of the garage just outside the window. I woke up in the middle of the night and seemed to see a shadow at the window.
My little baby also woke up and at that time it was like we scared the shadow as if it didn't want to be discovered and I heard a scraping noise as if it was going down the garage roof. For some reason at that moment I didn't feel fear.
But my little baby did cry out as if startled. I hushed the baby wondered if it was some crazy neighbor and then fell asleep. The top of the garage is not easy to access. For some reason I got a feeling that it was maybe an ancient forest creature or spirit maybe from the Native American days.
