For some reason at that moment I didn't feel fear. But my little baby did cry out as if startled. I hushed the baby wondered if it was some crazy neighbor and then fell asleep. The top of the garage is not easy to access. For some reason I got a feeling that it was maybe an ancient Forest creature or spirit maybe from the native american days. Actually I forgot about it until last year I saw mothman     chronicles with richard gere. Then I remembered and maybe that was it. Supposedly the moth Guys (no disrespect intended) come around trying to warn of trouble. This was before 911. My dad died shortly after and my dad-in-law was hit by a car a few years later and is now in the old folks home. I'm not a religious person but thanking the good spirits of the universe and asking Protection from the ''bad'' ones might be a good idea for anyone witnessing paranormal activity or ''normal'' activity for that matter.
