Marshall, Washington Ghost Tales | |
|
|
I lived in the Marshall house as a child. Once my step dad built the deck, my sister and I heard walking on the deck. The walking would stop and the window would shadow over for maybe 3 seconds...long enough to make your heart stop. One night we heard the bar stool in the kitchen move as if it were up on the wood splashboard on the floor and fell off. Then we heard footsteps and something hit the wall next to the sliding glass door. We heard nothing else after that. Since, we have had many renters in the home. They too tell me of the ghosts that live in the home. Things in the corner, by the wood

stove would move. The same corner which the deck was attached. A renter also experienced the solid shadow over the window, hiding the moon light that shone through. Another renter told of the same noises

in the corner where the wood stove sat, a great bang came against the outside wall as if someone through a rock at the glass doors but missed and hit the wall. She swears something hitting that hard would have to leave a dent or mark...there was nothing there. Nothing that was thrown, no marks on the wall near the door. Darkness came over the sliding glass door once again, blocking out the neighbors garage light that shone through and vanished. When my aunt use to stay with us kids for a week or two at a time, Everything would break down. Our washing machine stopped agitating, the drains clogged, the TV

stopped working. She was convinced this was a ghost who didn't believe in her life style as a lesbian. I would always look forward to a new renter to move in just so I could see their face as they ''let
me know'' that the house had a ghost. To some, like my Aunt, the ghost was an evil prankster. Not to do harm to us, just to make our life inconvienieant. To another, she felt the ghost just wanted to
let its presence be known. Once she acknowledged it, she said the noises lightened up from the heavy footsteps and banging, to creaks and shuffles. Submitted by Cammy
