Omak, Washington Ghost Tales I'm from Sacramento, CA.  I'm now 29 years old..At the time I was around 15-16 years old...My family and I went camping on a sight in Omak, Washington, from the time we got there my mom wasn't feeling to good.  She's been complaining about how she felt.  One night when I was asleep in my tent with my parents, for some reason I could not sleep that night. I was laying in my sleeping bag, I could hear a stream running, for some reason it just sounded so loud and I couldn't sleep.  I started ajusting myself, when I turned my body to face the other direction of the tent, I swear for a brief moment, before       I turned away and hid my head under my sleeping bag, I saw which looked like an indian, with long hair, he had white color lines on his face, he had no shirt on, he had some type of leather flap or something   covering his waist down.....he was squatting right behind my bottom, just sitting and looking at me. When I saw his I got so scared I took my sleeping bag and covered my head, then I looked slowly again to see if it was still there, I didn't see anything there.  The next morning I over heard my mom talking to my dad, about a strange dream she had.  She told him she dreamed of an indian man giving her medicine to make her feel better.  After I over heard that I told my mom, what I saw last night.  And she said why didn't I wake them up, I told them that I was to scared to move......With in a day or so, my mom started feeling better, she didn't feel sick anymore.  I really don't know if this was coincidence or what..... Not everyone believes in the tales the local residents tell, but if you are bold enough to stay overnight in Omak, you might observe a spirit for yourself. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The spirit of a teen girl has once in a while been spotted marching from flat to flat on a dark night on an Omak avenue. The ghost of a woman with half her head missing is occasionally made out in the early morning hours drifting along Camp Seven Creek. A person with a skeleton face sporting shady robes has supposedly been perceived on numerous occasions looking across Dan Nason Basin before dawn. A drifting phantom can sometimes be distinguished down at Crusoe Spring at midnight yelling people's names. The ghost of a young Indian combatant was perceived searching through the fridge in the kitchen of an Omak mobile home at the stroke of midnight. The ghost was ingested by the thin air after being made out. One thing's for sure, this ghost unquestionably is frightening; one that is preferably not disturbed.
