The reason that this is is because we where sleeping in the room right under the attic that the monk hung him self in. That is why I am terrified of the feeling that I'm being stared at.

I grew up in a small house on Tracy ave the house has since been demolished and a newer and larger home now exists there. My ''bedroom'' was actually a former dining room and had no door so I had a clear view from my room into the kitchen and to the living room doorway.

One night I awoke and saw a tall figure in the kitchen at first I rationalized that it must be someone who came to visit my mother but a fear rose in me and I could not look away from it. It was tall about 6 feet masculine a dark full body standing there looking at me I could not make out any features just a dark ''shadow man'' as I later came to call it.

Frozen in fear I began to scream it felt as if the scream was being torn from inside of me and I could not stop. My mother opened her bedroom door and our little dog ran straight for it then it simply vanished.
This happened regularly after that many a night I would be awakened sitting straight up in my bed paralyzed with fear and screaming. Eventually I developed a habit of sleeping with my head under the covers and refusing to look until morning.
We moved out of that home when I was 14.
