Back in the very early 80's, my family moved from Bremerton to Port Orchard. We moved into the big white house on Morton Street near downtown. This house was huge with a large yard and wrap around deck in the back over hanging blackjack creek.

My siblings and I climbed the tree in the corner of the front yard. My mothers roommate stood in the foyer looking out at us, watching us have fun. Out of the corner of her eye, she glimpses someone standing next to her.

The person said to her, ''its so nice to see children climbing the tree again. '' Terry agreed but when she turned to look at the woman, she wasn't there. She thought it had been my sisters friend.
But when the children came back in the house, I asked Terry who she was talking to. The woman was dressed in late 1800 clothing, hair piled on top of her head and very pale. I told Terry it wasn't carol.
This woman was seen on more than one occasion but never showed a threat, just compassion for the children in the house.
