We crested the south end of the lake where right in front of us we saw a bright red light. We said hello and the light disappeared, but didn't hear anyone walking away through the woods. So we decided     to go back through the upper trail by the road down to the spot where we saw the red light. After getting down there we started whistling a few times the tree in front of us started shaking we were so scared we headed back up the trail to go home and about every 10 secs the trees and bushes were shaking.
