acts gate to protect us or maybe keep in the restless spirits that habit this area. There has been some very peculiar graffiti on this bridge. As you drive by in your car, you may see what appears under the east end of the bridge to be a homeless man who loiters there. Or is it? Is this the incarnate of a spirit or just a man? Do you have the courage to speak to him to find out for yourself?
Sometimes the spookiest places are the ones that seem
to be just the normal urban environment by day; however, at night it can a completely different matter.|

There is a road called the ''Devil's Elbow'' in the north part of Renton. The road earned this nickname because of the many tragic car accidents that occurred there, and now it is closed to auto traffic. You can still travel it on foot, if you dare. The houses are fewer and fewer as you travel deeper into heavily wooded landscape of looming trees and tangled vines. The sound of cars fade and is replaced by the gurgle of water from the creek and the foreboding cries of scavenger crows. An eerie feeling, as if you are deep in some lonesome wilderness is at odds at your sensibilities knowing you are so close to the busy city of Renton.
The freeway acts as a barrier as if to guard this suspect place from the rest of the world. If you peer into the brush lined gullies that drop off sharply along the twisty roadside, you might catch a glimpse of rusted metal and a flash of chrome of one of the many victim's vehicles that remain behind whilst their occupants have departed for their uncertain fate. Eventually the road turns into a trail where the pavement is cracked, and weeds have sprouted. Heading south and in the distance houses appear. You have just survived ''The Devil's Elbow,'' and unlike some lived to tell the tale.
Then there was the road they named ''Chuck Norris. '' But of course they had to change the name back again because nobody crossed ''Chuck Norris'' and lived.
