And there my sister was, taking the stairs four at a time, a terrified look on her face. She said she heard something fall downstairs. Later, we went to investigate but found that nothing on the storage shelves, or anywhere, was out of place.
A bunch of other crazy stuff started happening, the lights flickering, odd orb-looking things floating around in the dark hallways. This all happened after we tore up the carpet in the basement.

and I had thought maybe our deceased father didn't like the basement without the carpet, so he was getting angry at us.

In my house on the north side of Spokane several people have seen a young boy either upstairs or coming down the stairs of my home. I have lived her for over 20 years and during that time there have been some odd things happen that are just too odd to say that something else has not been at work here.
There is one corner in my living room that if you drop something smaller than a paperback book there you will not find it. Even if you see it fall see where it lands and go to pick it up. I do not know where those things go as I have only ever found one thing that has fallen there.
I have an antique Irish fairy bell with it's original hammer while placing it up on a shelf near that corner the hammer fell. I immedicately searched for it I even pulled up the carpet to see if somehow it could have gotten under the wall to wall carpet because I start questioning my own sanity when things fall there and disappear.
