In the almost fifty years I have been on this earth I have lived in several haunted houses. For now I will tell you about one of them. Although this house was not the worst it still made me and my (non-believing) husband sit up and take notice. It was in December when twenty-five years ago I moved into our newly rented old fourteen-room house (built in the late 17th century) on Rosseter Street in Great Barrington, MA. We felt like we had hit the lottery,

but it had a few seriously nasty inhabitants in residence as we found out. The occurrences started the very night we moved in with at that time our three
|
small children. After putting the children to bed my husband and I were sitting in the living room on the couch relaxing after a long day. We heard heavy furniture being moved around upstairs. We had moved from a tiny apartment, and all of our things including all of us fit into just the downstairs with plenty of room left over.
My husband insisted it was our dog tied on the porch dragging her dog chain as she went up and down the steps. I pointed
