I am now taking sleeping medications to help me get through the night because when somebody screams out my name it's so loud. It's like three inches from my ear, and it scares me. I wake up in sweats. Sometimes I just know I'm not alone in the room, and I can't fall back to sleep. I've never had these problems before and have never thought twice about this, but I was wondering if you could help me to figure out if this is all related thank you. Submitted

Comment by M: This has happened to me several times. I started looking up things wondering if I was the only one who experienced this. I found out it was quite common. It's called exploding head syndrome. It may give you some comfort reading up on it, but why you are experiencing it after a brain injury is a little strange. If it is related to the person who committed suicide in your room, I'm sure whoever reads your story will offer advice. Good luck to you. Sept. 10 2014.

There's this bridge over Scantic River with a parking lot right next to it. If you follow the river up past the bend and just sit down and wait you might see the ghost of a boy that fell in the river and drowned back in the 1930s.
