Last night I woke up to go to use the bathroom. When I lay back down I felt someone lay down (or sit up?) next to me on the empty side of the bed. (My husband was at work.) Quickly after I heard creaking next to the bed as if they were walking away. Maybe I woke whatever was next to me up when I went to the bathroom. I also heard a child crying in the middle of the night a year ago. It woke me, and when I went to go check on my kids, they were fast

asleep. Strange thing is I'm in a new build. No prior owners. Wondering if Southbury was built on burial grounds of some sort?.

When my family lived in the lakeside area of Southbury we would always hear a child whimpering during the night. We had three small children and I go to see if one of them was crying they were always fast asleep.
The child stopped haunting us one night and I think it was because of what had happened in our family. The week before I lost my childhood best friend Shirley to cancer the same night she died my best friend in Southbury lost her husband to cancer.
