After living on Elm Street in Stratford, CT for some time in a cottage (approximately 5 years) at the rear of a property I had grown accustomed to the owner of the property. An older gentleman shared stories of weird goings on at the property since he was a young man. This property was built in the late 1600s and had been in his family for at least a couple of generations. I was aware of the fact that this neighborhood in general had above average paranormal

history being home to the Shakespeare Theater, Phelps Mansion, and a lot as neighborhood folklore goes.
The property owner on Elm Street had told

me of a picture that was taken I guess in the 1960s next to the old (and original) fireplace hearth. In this photo the smoky / ghostly image of an Indian squaw can be made clearly. His children all confirmed constantly hearing footsteps and door slamming that took place in the house. I lived in the ''carriage house'' in the back, and from time to time would dog sit for a relative. This dog aside from barely entering the dwelling would remain in the front room.
