Comment by Kris: Never heard of any Pequot war in Windsor, the closest would have been King Philips war 1675 in which Indians burned down houses in Simsbury and maybe one case of a resident from Windsor reported seeing a skulking Indian near his property.
Comment by Aj: In the late 1630s there was a war in Windsor against the Pequot Indians. It was authorized as an ''offensive war'' by the court of the Colony of CT. The settlers set up on what is now Palisado Ave in Windsor and they basically attacked the Pequot people and decimated the tribe.
The captain who led the attack is now immortalized on the Palisado green as a statue. So while I am not sure that the haunting is related to this I am sure that there are Native American spirits in areas and homes in town that might be related to this war.

I lived in Windsor the majority of my life and I have had a number of experiences and sightings. Most bad like really bad. Since I was 16 I would randomly get visited by a very very large dark figure and I would pretty much be terrorized throughout the night.
I was fortunate that he would only come around once every few months and then I got to see him every night for about two years. My personality completely changed and I just kept questioning my sanity.
I have not been terrorized since 2008 but I swear I will see a shadowy figure out of the corner of my eye daily. Anyone else in Windsor have anything similar? I swear I am not crazy. I am a member of the military and work with aircraft so I am a relatively intelligent person.
