I did not believe during the years I lived in Woodbridge, Connecticut (1983-1985). The house was built early in the 1700s. As legend goes a senator used to live in this house with his daughter. I was living in the attic during those years. One day I was home because I was sick. As I lay in my dad's bed (just below mine) watching television I heard a distinct noise upstairs. It was a walking sound. I thought ''heck it's the dog. '' I sat up and found

that it was not the dog. I lay back down; the walking resumed. I thought perhaps I was fevered, and I was but that was not it. How do I know? The walking

became so pronounced; I decided to investigate. After all who would want an animal stuck in the bedroom? There would be no good night's sleep. I took a bat to shoo away the squirrel, bird, or whatever else it might be. This is my proof that this story is true.
I entered my room like a cop entering a crime scene - bat first, hunched, and investigative. I searched every inch of the floor, nothing. I returned to the TV. The walking resumed. I returned
