My wife and I stayed at an inn in Freeport a few years back. We stayed on the second floor. This is the old part of the inn with fireplaces. During the night my wife felt a wisp of air upon her face. I woke up hollering in fear.
Apparently a ghost had come to me in my dream or I was sleep walking near the side window. I remember seeing a man in uniform looking in the window. I spoke to the desk clerk the next morning, she told me that a ghost had been seen on the site in the hallway just outside our room.

When I returned home I googled ''ghosts in Freeport Maine'' I found in a blog that a man dressed in a Civil War uniform has been seen looking in windows in the Freeport Maine area. This really made the experience so much more believable.
