Boothbay harbor is a beautiful tourist attraction but Boothbay is a little bit different. Many assume they're the same place when in fact they are not. Boothbay has dense forests along the long winding back roads. When I was a child I lived on one of these back roads. I often played by myself in my backyard which at one time was only forest. As many Maine children do I kind of just roamed around the woods in about a one-mile radius from my house. There

was an unspoken boundary line we didn't cross. When I was playing alone near this boundary line I saw something I will never forget. At first I thought

it was a tree with no bark: it was naked and pale; a stark contrast to the surrounding deep greens and dark browns.
I stepped closer to take a better look. It too stepped closer. It was a man, but it wasn't a man at all. It had the body of a man, but it's head resembled something almost bovine with large curling horns. It had no hair. It had no facial features, no mouth, no ears, no nose-- instead of eyes it had deep black pits that seemed
