I lived in an old house in Calais for three years as a child. My mom would find random shards of glass by one of the windows every so often, but there was no sign of a crack or break in the window. (She even blamed it on us kids and the dogs a few times.) My mom also claimed that her empty coffee mug slid across the counter as if someone pushed it real hard.
My older brother recalls seeing an older man at the bottom of the basement steps. Both of my brothers and mom used to hear a faint music box melody, but they could never figure out where it was coming from. When I was five or six years old, I woke up in the middle of the night and walked to the bathroom doorway where I saw a shadow silhouette of man wearing what looked like a suit coat or trench coat. He reached his hand upwards, and I bolted out of there.
I remember hiding on my bed so scared that I couldn't even scream. I just curled in a ball under my covers trying to find the courage to run to my parents' bedroom. My mom remembers me waking her up and telling her there was a man in the bathroom.
In the photo is the kitchen. Directly to the left is where the kitchen sink pantry and bathroom doorway where I saw the shadow man.
