Finally after all of that I decided to move out. I recently moved back into the house but nothing has happened since I have moved back in.

In 2002 and 2003, I lived in a small white house on Burns Street in Fairfield. I was in high school during this time and just lived there with my mother. I was always very doubtful as to whether or not ghosts actually exist prior to living in this house. The first incident I had was a during the day a basket filled with my mom's makeup flew off a shelf in the bathroom and smashed against the wall across the room. It came inches from hitting my head. There was no logical explanation for it and it more confused me than frightened me at the time. My mother fell ill and was in the hospital for 2 weeks so I had friends spending the night a lot. One night my friend said he saw a man in red plaid on my back porch, but I checked and no one was there. Then a day or two later I recall seeing a flash of very distinct red plaid go by me in the kitchen and vanished.

This was when I began to question the energy of this house. About a week later me and two good friends decided to contact whatever spirit or thing that was trying to make a presence in this house. We sat in a circle holding hands and asked a series of questions, ''who are you? '' ''where are you'' ''why are you here'' ''did you die here'' and so on... Nothing occurred until we decided to ask it one more time ''are you in the room with us'' and a Christmas card elevated itself off of the coffee table and landed in the middle of our circle. No windows were open and no one could have physically done this since there were only three of us and we were all holding hands.

It was after this experience that I finally told my mother what was going on and she rather than dismissed it like most parents, actually confessed to seeing a man in red plaid walking in our kitchen at night when I was not home.My mom said that she had never told me or anyone else before because she did not want people to think she was crazy, but I believed her. We moved out shortly after I graduated High School and I still live in the area today. I see this house from time to time and I wonder what is going on in there and if anyone else has had experiences there. .
