I lived in Freeport for about six months while I was doing a nursing contract there. My agency had me in this beautiful Cape Cod home right across the tracks. We were right by the big cemetery and across from the city park. The kids were there with me through the summer. They were 13 years old and really enjoyed being in such a safe place. Now saying this, they would never sleep upstairs in the bedrooms. They chose to sleep on the floor in our bedroom.

can remember waking one night to orbs going up the staircase, and our dog Molly was just sitting and watching them. Then there was the night I was walking

Molly around the park, and as we turned the corner, there was this man sitting on the bench. He was smoking a cigar and wearing a fedora. Molly growled and turned the opposite way. I got her under control, and as I looked up, the man was gone. I never felt threatened, but there are spirits with unfinished business there in Freeport. All I can say is I absolutely loved my time there and would gladly go back.
