On both sides of the passageway there are long corridors. And one night I was driving through and I saw a mysterious whitish figure. Then immediately it disappeared and I then heard a muffled sound of gunfire.
It might have been a ghost of one of the men who died in war but I'll never know.

Comment by Kate: Glad to have read this... Now I know I'm not crazy. It was a beautiful clear fall day and I was walking through the battery when I saw 2 men appearing to be talking to each other. One looked at me rushed me and face to face screamed ''get out''.
Not out loud but I knew what he was saying. And his face was very angry. They were both wearing a military uniform although I really didn't get a good look.

My neighborhood on peaks is very haunted. Going back hundreds of years ago, there were colonist / Indian battles and massacres on this corner of the island, and the few survivors fled across whitehead passage to neighboring cushings island.
In my own house, many things happen, and not only at night. Fortunately for my sanity there have been plenty of witnesses. The most frightening thing, however, did happen at night. One night around 2 am I woke up to knocking on the second floor bedroom window next to my bedroom.
