I thought that up until the time we got a dog. Sometimes at night the dog would have to go for a walk. Normally my mom or dad would do it depending on who was working what shift but there were a few times that I would have to take the dog out and that's when I started to think that there was more to it then just the drunks out at night that my parents were trying to keep me safe from.
One night stuck with me more then any of the others. I remember

that even though the dog needed to go out he didn't want to go past the front door. He would just whimper and move from one foot to the other.

finally got him to start walking down the street but he wouldn't stop whimpering. We got to the foot bridge to the mill and the dog just stopped and wouldn't move any further. Thinking that he was doing his thing I just stopped there and while I waited out of nowhere came a feeling of un easiness and it got worse and worse while I stood there.
After a few min. I had enough and started back down to my house. I started to speed up when I started to hear
