If you want to see a spirit get yourself out to the Scarborough Marsh. Go there on a nice warm day. It's important that you go on a day when there's no wind. Go out there and close your eyes and just stand there and wait.
There's a spirit there that will appear to those it chooses to appear to. If you are chosen you will feel like a slap of cold wind hit you. When you feel that open your eyes and in front of you you will see the spirit.
