I own a 1940s era house. Over the years there have been many unusual happenings. One morning my daughter came out of her bedroom demanding to know who was banging on her bedroom door. No one had been near the door.
The scariest incident occurred in the early evening with a house full of people. The same daughter and I were in the kitchen when we heard an explosion in the dining room. We ran to see what had happened and discovered a glass cutting

board that was sitting on the table had literally exploded.
Thank goodness no one was around. Most of the time a presence is felt but is not frightening.

I live alone in the house now and find it almost comforting.
