I used to live in a house on Main Street. We rented it for two years. In that time my son, who was two and turned four when we moved out, would talk to a little girl named Meredith. When I asked who she was, he said she was a little girl his size in a pretty white dress. One night I went into his room and his blanket had fallen off the bed, so I put it back on him, and he woke up. He saw me and said ''oh mom, it's you. I thought it was the lady. ''

Then he went back to sleep. When I asked him about it in the morning, he told me that there was a nice lady in a long dress who came in every night, tucked

him in and kissed him good night. I have never worn a long dress like he described. He basically described a Puritan or Pilgrim type homemade dress. I also noticed that if his toys were scattered around when we left for a trip to the store, they would be neatly to one side of the room when we got back sometimes. I did not mind the little girl or the woman since they seemed to be nice. However, there was something on the stairs as well.
