I can confirm about the haunted happenings that occur around the dam area. The ghost man in question who went by the name of Waldo. No joke. As far a cause of death I'm not 100% sure. But that man began and finished his life in that area.
The trail that hugs the Limerick side of the river is where he resided. On many occasions traveling down that path I have sighted a shadow figure observing from a distance. I have first hand knowledge that Waldo

was an ornery old cusk and didn't like change in the least bit and was very protective of the land he kept .

I have heard there is a ghost man by the bridge or dam and he haunts it because he used to walk his dog there.
