I have lived in a haunted house for most of my life. I live in a house that is about 200 years old in Winslow on the China Road. My grandfather passed away in the house around 2004 since then the fire alarms will go off for no reason. The house was vacant for a short time, and I lived in the apartment above the attached a garage alone. One night in 2006 I could hear something but couldn't quite figure out what. I went all through my apartment, the garage, and as I got to the main house, it grew much louder. I opened the door, and all of the fire alarms were going off. I had to remove all of the batteries. I moved out in 2007 and was away for about six years. During that time the tenants in the house reported that they had to keep batteries out of the alarms because even though they had all been replaced or had new batteries if they were left with batteries over night, around 2 and 3 am they would go off.

My parents and brother are now currently moving back in. There have never been any negative issues. However, when I was very young living in the house before we renovated it, my brother's friend reported seeing a woman in white outside my brother' second story window. I wouldn't doubt it. I am surprised with all of the animals buried out back that there have been no animal ghost sightings. There are probably well over 100 various animals buried out back. Although when you walk on the ''snowmobile'' trail that goes out behind the entire road, you can definitely feel something is there. It's not really scary, just odd feeling. Previous tenant's children have reported being touched or things moving, but I personally haven't experienced it. I just know that it's a very old house that has been in the family since the early 1900s and renovated in the late 90's.
We have hundreds of pictures with orbs in them, but that can also be issues with film or a dirty camera lens. I'm not saying I don't believe. I'm just not saying I do either. There is also a farm about a half mile up the Maple Ridge Road where the barn burned down in 1994. That killed a LOT of animals: goats, cows, and horses. I used to board my horse there. I can tell you that in the place that was rebuilt on over the ashes of the old, you can feel a lot of activity. Things go missing, and the animals can feel it too. If they were put in a certain stall, the horses would become very upset and couldn't be safely left alone. My friends agree that there are definitely animal spirits there.
