I lived in an apartment on Halifax Street in Winslow and had a lot of paranormal activity happen there. The vast majority of which was certainly negative. My daughter and I were constantly sick while living there. It was a tiny little attic apartment, and the door to her bedroom had slammed shut on several occasions, and she could NOT get it to open, even though it locked from the inside. She would also tell me about a white haired lady with red eyes who would sit on her chest and scream at her. Things you'd just put down would disappear only to be found later in some of the most random places.
One morning I was home alone and brushing my teeth in the bathroom looking into the mirror when I heard and felt the hot breath of 'a child' saying, 'Mommy!' in the creepy way they do in horror movies. I threw that toothbrush down and ran out of that bathroom but quickly gathered myself together and calmed down. A few days later once again I get that hot breath in my ear, and this time it was my daughter's voice saying ''Mommy'' in my ear. That definitely freaked me out.

Another time on Halloween night I was on my landlord's porch smoking a cigarette with her when we just happened to look over across at the cemetery, and we BOTH saw a neon green orb that looked like it bounced off a few headstones before disappearing. One winter morning I went down to start the car to warming up. As I was coming down the stairs, I felt a kick in the back of my lower legs which sent me right down on my butt until I hit the sidewalk. A man who happened to be coming out to his car at the time saw everything and came running over to see if I was alright. I'll be damned if about ten minutes later when I was with my daughter going to the car it happened AGAIN!

The final straw came when I tried to do a cleansing of the apartment. My daughter was in front of me, and I had my cell phone recording when my daughter began to complain about her back burning. I lifted up her sweatshirt to find jagged scratch marks all across her back. To my horror, they continued to show up before my very eyes. I tried getting help from a few paranormal groups after unsuccessfully trying to contact someone from the church to help us. We NEVER DID GET ANY HELP from anyone.
We now live in Fairfield, and the activity here is CRAZIER, if you can believe that!! Anyone know anything about the Cottage Street area in Fairfield that may explain why this place is so active and the reason behind all the cancer people here have had, including my own mother and 6- year-old dog! As well as seizures in my daughter that happened the VERY FIRST NIGHT we moved in. As well as several kids who've spent more than one night in a row here. I've even been thrown across the room here. Why don't I move? Simple. I can't afford to.
