I lived in Amesbury MA from the age of 3 years of age to about 19 years of age. Living most of these years on Whittier ave. When I was in my bedroom which was on the 2nd floor of the home I would spend most nights listening to someone of something in the attic walking or maybe like a pacing from one end to the other.
During the day I could be in my bedroom or downstairs and could hear the stairs creaking, the same noises someone would make walking on the stairs but you would look to see who was there. No one.
Sometimes I would shut my TV fall asleep and awake up in the middle of the night. Because of the light from the TV being on, no sound for one reason or another the TV was always mute. For years I hated to go to the attic or basement of that house.

I would get this weird feeling like someone was there watching me. And cold spots, weird stuff like that. I never forgot the house. I have to believe that whatever I heard or felt was a good soul, lost maybe but good.

I did found out that the home I lived in on Whittier ave was built in the 1700's so lots of people lived and died in there and lots of history. Through everything I have and will always feel the home is ''home'' for me.
