When I was about six years old in 1967 I lived on Warren Avenue in an attic apartment. It was on the corner of Warren and Hillberg. The house was built in 1890. My bed was in the hall at the top of the stairs. I would have this reoccurring nightmare that I fell out of bed, and when I looked up a woman with no head was reaching out to me. This terrorized me the whole time we lived there. More than once I would wake up in the middle of the night in the landlord's apartment on the first floor. I never walked in my sleep before or since then.
For some reason I would tap on the wall next to my bed at night. Because it was an attic there was a space behind that wall (the eve.) My parents did not know it was me tapping on the wall at night, so one day they decided to remove the paneling to see if there was something in the wall making that tapping sound. I remember they found two old sea chests full of old books and newspapers etc. They put them back and closed up the wall. I always wanted to stop by that house to find out if anyone else had found that stuff behind the wall or even knew it was there. I think it has changed owners several times and been remodeled, so who knows.

East Ashland St, the part between Montello and Cary St. In the house various family members would hear our names whispered at night and on a few different occasions house guests on their way to the bathroom in the middle of the night have seen figures and shadows walking or floating by.
Mind you these were guests who never met and on complete different occasions stayed at the house and gave the same story.
