Me and my cousin always go to a candy shop in downtown Chatham and have always heard stories about the apartment above claire Murray a rug store it has vines growing around that apartment only with each person who moves in moves out very soon the place is most of the time abandon, and dark there are always these books on the windowsill that stay there even when someone else moves in we see shadows and other figures moving through the window with a faint glow.

This past summer I visited Chatham. Never was there before. I went to a store at the end of Main Street called the Mayflower shop. Was near the left side of the store looking at the novelties when I caught something moving in my peripheral vision.

A small item was slowly moving on the shelf all by itself! I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me! A lady standing nearby was watching this item moving as well. She even said to me ''can you believe that? '' as soon as she said that the item moved right to the edge of the shelf and toppled to the floor.
I looked at the lady and said ''are you picking that up? '' she said ''hell no I'm not touching it! '' on the way out of the store I said to the clerk ''is this store haunted? '' she just looked at me like I was crazy.
When I began to explain what had just happened she walked over to the aisle where this happened looked at the item on the floor and said nothing.
