Are the woods behind the Danvers High School known for being haunted? I ask this because of the apparition my brother and I saw early one evening in the wooded area behind the school. The apparition of a young woman appeared out of nowhere walking down the hill that leads to the parking lot. She walked for a moment and then vanished. Does anyone have any info? If so, please comment. ''
In short, yes. I went to DHS, and the woods behind the school always left me uneasy, like someone was watching the high school kids hanging out during recess. The rail trail also goes through there, and I've walked it at night. At some point, you come to an opening, a swampy kind of field with the rail-trail going through the middle. This place feels wrong. Like, something is off. As for your sighting, I would be curious to what year this happened because there was in the last few years a teacher murdered and dumped in the woods behind the school.

Danvers is a crazy town. Growing up there was like living in a bubble filled with water. I'm glad I got out. Submitted by DJ

I just drove by this place and stopped to the side of the road because there was a weird glow up the end of the dirt driveway by the fence. It only stayed for about twenty seconds then disappeared. I don't know what exactly I was looking at but it seemed out of the ordinary. Submitted by Paul

My dog Luke went missing up there two years ago. Jordan my next door neighbor, his dog went missing up there the year before Luke disappeared. It was mid October that it happened to both our dogs, both gone without a trace.
