I was stationed as a Law Enforcement Specialist at Hanscom AFB back in 1989. I was working the back gate on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon on my third swing shift of our schedule. I know it was the weekend because traffic was very slow. All of a sudden, traffic picked up to weekday levels. The girl working the main gate had shot herself. I believe her name was Bridget. Really weird things started happening in and around that gate shack afterward. I had only

been there about two weeks and barely knew her, but my supervisor still asked me if I'd be ok working the night shift at that gate the following night.

Several street lights went out, centered around the gate shack.
I remember that I used to keep the gate shack lights turned off, and I was outside checking someone's ID when it happened. Both of our eyes got really big. I took a step back and reached my hand inside the door to flip the switch, but we had no power. I could see buildings through the trees and other light poles a ways down the street in either direction that still had power. I stood
