This picture is from a trail off the road of the most haunted place in Hanson, Camp Kiwanis. The picture is of the old Howland Cemetery (1846). We have seen dark figures hovering in the woods over this spot on the way to the camp and Maquan Pond for a swim in the late afternoon on many occasions as children, and more recently in a vehicle.
Quite a few years ago someone swimming in the pond was surprised to find a rib cage attached to their ankle as they came out of the water. The main lodge of the camp has a room overlooking the pond at the top that a girl hanged herself in you can see her in the window staring out, and inside the lodge you will observe sounds from the stairs both going down the basement and up to her room, screaming and crying and thump noises.
