We lived in one side of a 1901s-ish duplex for 26 years. We moved in around 1990, and starting around 2000 we heard loads of footsteps in the long upstairs hallway almost every night (while I was in bed off that hall) or in attic hallway above. I chalked it up to dreams. I felt pillow smothering my face in bed on many occasions. I would remain unmoving assuming I was dreaming.
Some years after those started, our landlady on other side asked if I heard

footsteps in the halls at night. She and her husband heard them too. One night felt someone lie down in my bed with me while they restrained my arm with

a hand clamped on my wrist. Again I thought it was a dream and didn't get out of bed. If anyone else experiences, this please post. I haven't experienced similar odd happenings in my new residence for the past five years.

Early one Sunday morning around June 1995 in a duplex in Hopedale MA. Sun was up, but I was tired and lolling around in bed. In walked my friend who had died a few months before. She picked up a quilt from a far corner of the room, shook it out, folded it, and put it beneath my head and shoulders as a comfortable pillow. I fell into a deep sleep, woke up, and got out of bed around 11 am. The quilt was where she put it on my bed. Not scary just weird.
